While Vail kicks off its annual Snow Days free concert festival this weekend, Beaver Creek will be celebrating the opening of its new Haymeadow Park area, with an ice cream parlour at the top of the gondola.
The weekend festivities will come after a shot of fresh snow overnight Wednesday into Thursday, with a possible 3-6 inches. After that forecasters are calling for a week of warmer, dry weather until the next round of storms before the Christmas holiday.
