Colorado Mountain Medical, which last fall inked a deal with Kaiser Permanente, on Tuesday announced it’s moving its Edwards offices into the new Buck Creek Medical Plaza being developed by Centura Health in Avon. Kaiser is opening offices in the Edwards Corner commercial strip in downtown Edwards.
Centura plans to open a 24-hour urgent and emergency care facility on the ground floor of the new Avon building, which is slated to open next summer, and Colorado Mountain Medical will take over the second floor. Here’s the announcement from CMM CEO Brooks Bock:
I am very pleased to inform you that Colorado Mountain Medical (CMM) plans to open an office in June 2016 in the new Buck Creek Medical Plaza currently under construction in Avon. We will be moving our office now located in the Shaw Cancer Center at 0322 Beard Creek Road in Edwards to the second floor of the new medical building located on Buck Creek Road.
CMM will staff the Buck Creek office in Avon with the same physicians currently working in Edwards and will offer the same services. Our other offices located in the US Bank Building in Vail and on Sylvan Lake Road in Eagle will remain in place. All of CMM’s physicians are members of the Medical Staff at Vail Valley Medical Center (VVMC) and will continue to use VVMC for admissions, obstetrical care, and surgical procedures.
We are very excited about our new facility that allows us to provide convenient and coordinated care. The new three-story 50,000 square-foot medical plaza will also house a 24/7 combined urgent care and emergency center operated by Centura Health.
The new location is central for our patients and visitors to the Vail Valley. The Buck Creek Medical Plaza is located just off the Main Avon Exit (167) of I-70 at the intersection of Nottingham Road and Buck Creek Lane. The medical plaza is near a future bus stop and will provide 180 parking spaces for staff and patients.
This move allows us to continue our strong tradition of providing preventive health and specialty care as well as the treatment of illness and injury for the entire family. As with all our offices, the new office will provide same day appointments and walk-in urgent care services for residents and visitors, providing patients more cost effective care.
We will keep you updated as we prepare to move into the new building. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 970-926-6340. We look forward to continue providing excellent medical care throughout Eagle County.
Best regards.
