Eagle County seeks community members to serve on boards

Eagle County has openings on several community boards, including the Eagle County Planning Commission, Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission, CSU Extension Advisory Council and the Animal Services Advisory Committee. To qualify, applicants must be Eagle County residents and in some cases, registered voters. A brief description and the application process for each of the boards is as follows:

Eagle County Planning Commission
The Eagle County Planning Commission (ECPC) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Eagle Valley area of unincorporated Eagle County. The ECPC meets on the first and third Wednesday of every month. Applications are available online at www.eaglecounty.us/Planning. Applications are due no later than Nov. 11 and can be submitted via email to christina.andrews@eaglecounty.us. Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission
The Roaring Fork Valley Regional Planning Commission (RFVRPC) makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding land use within the Roaring Fork Valley, Missouri Heights and Frying Pan Road areas of unincorporated Eagle County. The RFVRPC meets on the first and third Thursday of every month. Applications are available online at www.eaglecounty.us/Planning. Applications are due no later than Nov. 11 and can be submitted via email to christina.andrews@eaglecounty.us. Colorado State University Extension Advisory Council
The Colorado State University (CSU) Extension Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Eagle County Extension staff in developing, maintaining, and promoting educational programs and resources to the residents of the county. CSU Extension Advisory Council Members are selected to represent 4-H Youth Development, Family & Consumer Sciences and Horticulture & Small Acreage Management, as well as the public at large. Animal Services Advisory Committee
Three community members are needed to fill vacancies positions on the Animal Services Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of nine members with expertise and interest in animal care and welfare. Focus areas include the physical and behavioral health of animals; housing and transport of animals; spaying, neutering and population management; facility improvements; public health; and consideration of other topics as needed. Appointments will be for one- to three-year terms. Meetings occur bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of the month. Applications are available at www.eaglecounty.us/animal and are due by Sept. 30.
