Vail Mountain today (Nov. 4) announced the entertainment lineup for Vail Snow Daze 2013, the resort’s annual festival to kick off the winter season. The lineup for the Dec. 9-15 event will include free headliner concerts from Rebelution on Friday, Dec. 13 and on Saturday, Dec. 14.

“The lineup for this year’s Vail Snow Daze is a brilliant kickoff of the 2013-2014 ski and snowboard season as well as the first year of Vail’s next 50 years,” said Davy Ratchford, director of marketing and branding for Vail Mountain. “We clearly recognize the value events and entertainment like this brings to our guests and the community. We’re proud to deliver another worthy event that sustains Vail’s “Like Nothing on Earth” brand.”

On Saturday, Dec. 14, Bud Light presents Matisyahu. Since first emerging on the international stage in 2005, Matisyahu has established a reputation for following his muse—from the stripped-down roots reggae of the gold-certified Live at Stubb’s to the trippy ministrations of Youth to the polished pop eclecticism of Light. His most recent release, 2012’s Spark Seeker, debuted at #19 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Billboard Reggae chart, and spawned fan-favorites Sunshine and Live Like A Warrior.

Rebelution, presented by Pepsi on Friday, Dec. 13, is a rock, world and reggae band formed in Santa Barbara, Calif. in 2005. Rebelution’s latest release is the triple-disc “Peace of Mind”, which peaked at #13 on the Billboard top 200. They have self-released three albums and sold over 250,000 copies independently.

Blending sultry melodies with booming bass lines, MiM0SA offers up an interesting and soulful take on the sounds of hip hop beats and future bass music. The Los Angeles-based artist started his own label, False Idol Music, in 2011 as a means of distinguishing his sound from other electronic artists and building a repertoire of releases. MiM0SA will open for Rebelution on Friday, Dec. 13.

All Vail Snow Daze concerts are free of charge and will be held at Vail’s Ford Park. The schedule of activities for Vail Snow Daze 2013 will also include the return of the sponsor expo village and gear demos at the base of Gondola One, Dec. 13-15, as well as après and after-dark parties in the Town of Vail throughout the week.

A limited number of Private Reserve tickets will be available and include a preferred viewing area, private entrance, food and beverage and a rocking party! Please check www.vail.com/snowdaze for more info.

Vail Snow Daze is presented by Vail Mountain, Pepsi, Bud Light, Sprint and the Town of Vail, and sponsored in part by Helly Hansen, GoPro, Liberty Skis, Colorado Mountain Express, Vail Daily and KZYR.
