Vail Symposium golf fundraiser at Frost Creek set for June 6

Help fund the future of the Vail Symposium while enjoying the sweeping landscaped lawns and natural vistas of Frost Creek golf course in Eagle on June 6. The Vail Symposium is seeking to fill 22 foursomes, 10 hole sponsors and offering $50 lodging deals for any out-of-town golfers or any locals who might want to enjoy a staycation.

For 45 years the Vail Symposium has thrived as Vail’s intellectual think tank – challenging, educating and inspiring audience members to convene locally and think globally. By providing some of the most diverse and affordable programs in the valley, the Symposium’s aim is to shape a well-informed future for all.

“The course at Frost Creek is truly spectacular. The mountain views and tree-lined fairways offer a day of serenity,” said Ashley Cawthorn, program manager at the Symposium. “All the funds generated from the tournament will be put toward our continued mission of organizing great programs that impact our community.”

The meticulously maintained 18-hole Championships golf course winds over Frost Creek’s 1,100 acres. Scents of the surrounding sage brush, mountain views and rushing water of brush creek provide a unique golf outing.

The course was designed by PGA Champion Tom Weiskopf and incorporates pond-protected greens and incorporates the indigenous landscape for 18 distinct holes. The tournament format will be a scramble or lowball foursome. Food and drink will be provided on course. The tournament is presented in part by Frost Creek with lodging provided by the Antlers at Vail.

“It will be a wonderful day in a unique and equally wonderful place,” Cawthorn said. “We hope to see many from the community and look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike.”
